Happy Birthday

Another Blundell has been born on 29th July. Joshua & Amy have a son – Michael has another grandchild.

We had a good day with Mum for her 78th birthday. She had lots of visitors and many phone calls. We took her back to their cottage for a while ..but  she became very tired. Dad stayed with her until after dinner & he said she was feeling a little better.

Auntie Carol, Uncle Doug and Scott came up for a little while.

Carolyn, Dad enjoyed his trip to Wellsford with Paul – it has been wonderful for Paul to have come over and spend so much time with Mum & Dad – I think dad saw another side of his son and really enjoyed it. I’m sorry Paul had to see  the side of Dad that he did though – dad has told everyone about it – he just has no pride sometimes!!

Lots of love to you all …Anne

Back online

Hey everyone we are finally back online new email

blundells25@bigpond.com

It was great to chat today with Mum, she sounds frail I suppose she looks it. Paul is glad he has spent some time with Mum.Also I hope someone has provided Dad with some supplies for the car(in case of emergencies).

Nanna

Hi everybody, It was lovely to see you all there today. I have just returned from going over to kiss Mum goodnight. I thought I would do this just because I can. She is very tired tonight.

Mum said lots of goodbyes this morning and really frightened us but brightened up by lunchtime. Karena – I think – Steven & Jan’s daughter arrived up about 3pm to say hello. She had driven up from Morrinsville to see Mum.

Mum has spent  alot of time tonight telling Dad how much she loves him & he returned that she is so important to him and that he loves her to.

The nurses there are very caring and are happy to talk with Dad and tease him.

I have those letters that were found in their old house. For those who have not seen them they are letters that Mum wrote to Dad when Michael was a baby & Dad was away at sea. They too are very tender letters. Just so you know they are not lost somewhere – the letters I mean.

Mum was happy to see everybody today & was saying early this am that she is so proud of her family that none of us have ever given her a moment of shame.

I will keep you posted as she gets better.

Love always Anne xx
