Whangarei Blundells

Hello,

Was mucking round on the internet and found the ‘Blundell’ site!  What a huge suprise.

My father Arthur Percy Blundell is the 2nd eldest son of 13 children to Wallace and Hilda Blundell from Horeke.   We too have the Blundell Crest hanging on the wall. 

My Mum (Yvonne) and Dad (Percy) live in Whangarei and have three children Leo, Cherie and (me) Kylee.

I will be emailing this site to my Aunties, Uncles and Cousins to have a browse who may be able to give a better run down on the Blundell’s from Horeke.

I’ve posted a photo of my family too!  Spot the Blundell!!

    nice to hear from one of the northern Blundells, yes we do know some of you lot,and David (the electrician, your uncle I think) was very nice to mum and dad just before she died. It is suprising how many people I meet down this way (the Horowhenua) who know Trevor (the one eyed referee) from Horeke. Took some of my family up to see the Hokianga and Horeke last year, they loved the area.

    Hi Kylee,
    yes we know of you lot but the only one I have met lately is my name sake Dave (the electrician) when he visted my mum and dad last year before she died. Most of us have been to Horeke, I took my family up there and bored the t**ts off them about how nice the Hokianga is and about great aunty Hilda etc.
    I have met a suprising lot of people down here in the Horowhenua who know Trevor the one eyed referee Blundell from up there. It has been a while since the last family reunion so we of course lose track of each other but nice to hear from you.

    Thanks for the comment. Maybe it’s time for another reunion….Uncle David and the rest of the boys make a great hangi…….bags not organising it!!

    Hi Kylee – yes our Dad just loves your lot. I oten show off about uncle Wallace having the Horeke pub. Heaps of people in Auckland have fond memories of the North. It’s always good to have a link. I have met various ones of your family over the years.
    I am the second child of John and Joyce Blundell – eight of us. I have three children and three grandchildren and live in Manukau City.
