Hey guys,
Recently went on the site houseofnames.com & ordered our coat of arms & family history, it only took like a week & a half to get here & it’s defintiely worth it. You can buy our family crest, clan badge, family history or whatever on anything, a plaque, tshirts, mugs even mousepads. Definitely worth having a look.

for those who have asked here are the best pics I can manage of the family crest, you may be able to clean them up or enhance them yourselves depending on what software you have.
The black thing is a raven, the red is a squirrel holding a nut, the motto is ‘unus et idem ferar’, the general translation of which appears at the top of the site, the literal translation you can google yourself

Hi guys,
Just bored so thought I might post something. Nothing much to say really, Tanekaha’s keeping our lot pretty entertained now-a-days. My Jet will be 5 on Sunday so we’re taking his friends to Chipmunks. Thought about throwing him a party from home but he wanted a bouncy castle (the $300 Spiderman one of course) and then when we added food etc on top of it the cost really sky rocketed. Not to mention preparation and clean up, ‘Thank God for Chipmunks!’ Ben and Varnz same old, Sheena and Lawrence busy being awesome parents, Mum and Ron still looking for their cat! (Sheena fed it the wrong food while they were on holiday so it ran away!)
That’s all really.
P.S. Is it me or does Kyle have our Blundell cheeks?! Didn’t realise they were universal!

Hi
I googled my surname and found this site. Didn’t even know there were Blundells outside of UK and here. Ive posted a pic of my son and I checking out the other Blundells. My e-mail is kyleb@probetech.co.za.

Sorry for the site going down over xmas folks – my bad! In my haste to mature my liver and kidneys I forgot to pay a bill, which is not really like me.
But anyway, during the sober respite between boxing day and new years eve, I’ve just updated the website software to make it more reliable and secure, and I’ve tidied up the Gallery, so go check it out. Any feedback, you know where to find me

Kia ora koutou
We figured an update was in order given Tanekaha will be 6 weeks this Friday. He now weighs over 12 pounds! and is so long he is clearly taking after his father in height.
Many of you have asked what his name means. Essentially, it is symbolic of the kaupapa and tikanga that have given us grounding and direction these last few years – mau rakau (traditional Maori weaponry), waka (paddling waka tangata, waka ama and sailing waka hourua, crew on Aotearoa One), mirimiri/romiromi (traditional Maori healing) and whakapapa. Mokonuiarangi comes from Lawrence’s grandfather, Raureti Mokonuiarangi Kingi, after whom Lawrence’s father was named, after whom Lawrence is named.
Tanekaha is adorable. He knows our voices and our touch, he smiles and giggles, loves his bath and showers with his mama, makes the cutest sighing sound when he sneezes and loves being tucked up in our bed with us (what started as a special treat is now a common occurrence). Yes, our beautiful boy has changed our lives (even more so than the haputanga/pregnancy) as so many of you knew it would. We have experienced the korowai/cloak of intense aroha, adoration and euphoria that follows birth, survived the initial shock and trauma of sleepless nights, endured the emotional post-partum rollercoaster. Nevertheless, we look forward to the oncoming months with a mixture of excitement, defiance and always, love.
We hope you are all well and looking forward to the holidays, summer and time with friends and whanau. Nanna loved Xmas and babies – I miss her immensely, particularly at this time in my life.
Nga mihi o te wa, merry xmas
